Biography
Hadi Forough was a 43-year-old basketball player who was killed by security forces in the Aryashahr neighborhood of Tehran on January 8, 2026. He died from a gunshot wound to the heart shortly after his birthday. He is survived by his three-year-old son, Avash, whose reaction to seeing his deceased father on television was widely shared on social media.
هادی فروغ، بسکتبالیست ۴۳ ساله، در ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در محله آریاشهر تهران با شلیک مستقیم نیروهای امنیتی به قلبش جان باخت. او که متولد دی ۱۳۶۱ بود، تنها مدت کوتاهی پس از جشن تولدش کشته شد. از این جاویدنام پسری سه ساله به نام آوش به یادگار مانده است که ویدیوی صدا کردن پدرش با دیدن تصویر او در تلویزیون، بازتاب وسیعی در فضای مجازی داشت.
